Our Philosophy
Freelancers and micro-businesses are the engine rooms of economies the world over. When we started out as freelancers, we wished we could concentrate more on doing the work we loved and less on managing invoices and crunching numbers. So we built FreeAgent.
And in these tough times, we're even more proud that by making accounting simple and understandable, we're doing our bit to ease the pain.
Ed Molyneux
Chief Executive Officer
Ed switched over from the cockpits of military fast-jets to sit at the helm of FreeAgent Central Ltd, via a stint as a technology consultant, in 2006.
He resides at his rural home just south of Edinburgh with his wife and two kids.

Olly Headey
Chief Technical Officer
Olly has been programming computers since they came with rubber keys. Once upon a time he wrote the video game classic Super League Pro Rugby which was big in Pontefract. He has been writing software for the web since the late 90s and he founded Lylo, his web development company, in 2005.
He lives in London and his surname is pronounced ‘hee dee’.

Roan Lavery
Lead Designer
After an early career as a research scientist, Roan spent many years at the coal face of modern web design, leading a Scottish web development agency and freelancing for clients around the world, until starting FreeAgent. His day-to-day duties include developing the application roadmap, crafting the user experience and general design lovin'.
He used to blog regularly at Renegade Zen but then FreeAgent happened and... well... you know...
